Squat 1×1 @ 120

Resting 2 minutes.
Top set all good.
Back sets felt ok but stiff in the lower back throughout.

Deadlift 12×1 @ 80

Resting 90 seconds.
Back started complaining a little more on the second warmup set so left the weight there and did the working sets at that weight.
Work sets didn’t feel too bad considering. All sets felt about the same level of discomfort/tightness in the back.

Sit Ups 3xAMRAP

Resting 2 minutes.
Set 1 uploaded for comedy…
Got the keg out t keep my feet in place.
3×5 in the end.

Summary

All ok. Back still stiff but got some work done.

Resting 2 minutes.
Top set a little too heavy.
It went up eventually but not sure on the pause.
Only 4 reps on the final back set.

Bench 8×3 @ 70

Resting 30 seconds.
No issues here.

Summary

All good this morning.
Frost on the workbench @ -1 outside.
Not too bad once I’d warmed up though.

Resting 2 minutes.
Tight back still so going super light.
All set ok but sore in the lumbar area at the bottom of the movement.

Squat 10×2 @ 112.5

Resting 30 seconds.
Back felt ok here.
Still feeling tightness/soreness at the bottom again but all moved ok.

Hollow Body Hold 3xAMRAP

Resting 90 seconds.

Not sure tech is correct. I’m guessing spine should be flat on the floor?

All moved ok but went really light once I felt my back starting to complain.

Top set felt good.
Back sets all good.

Strict Press 3×5 @ 47

Resting 2 minutes.
No issues here.

Summary

Tried a Power Clean setup but still tight in the lower back.
Not as bad as yesterday but still didn’t want to risk anything.

Pressing all good. Feeling smooth and solid.

Squat 1×1 @ 120

Resting 2 minutes.
Top set was uncomfortable at the bottom of the squat. Felt a bit of a ‘clunk’ in the lower back at around 85% down.
Back sets felt better but still not great.

Deadlift 12×1 @ 117.5

Back got super tight on second warmup set @ 100kg so binned it there.

Summary

No the best morning.
Squats felt ok.
Deadlifts didn’t get far beyond a 60kg warmup.
