Weird setup but bare with me! Still working on getting the correct start height.
Might sacrifice the pallet and glue up some custom blocks.

Log Clean and Press 5 x 3 @ 52

Resting 2 minutes.
Only a single rep here.
Slight headache this morning which has gradually progressed during block pulls and log warmups.
Head pressure when pressing the log was like a dagger in the back of my right eye so quitting here for some paracetamol and rehydration.

Summary

From last log session…
You mentioned the clean being a single movement so I gave this a go with the empty log this morning.
Didn’t feel too comfortable from where I was I think due to the log having an off centre centre of gravity on the frontal plane making it way different to a barbell clean.
I went back to tech demo videos but couldn’t find any examples of this with the log.
Going to go with Brian Shaw on this one (https://youtu.be/OrrPuoEZSHs).
Log from the floor seems to be a 3 step movement of lapping the log, rolling it to the chest then the press.

Block pulls ok today.
Log not so much after all that above!

No belt again. All feeling good.
Cooking the shoulders here!

"Stone" over Bar 10 x 60 Sec AMRAP @ 60

Resting 60 secs.
25 Reps Total.
All good here.
Both weight on the bag and height of the bar felt about right for a good steady RPE6 on the early reps through to RPE7/8 on the later reps.

Balance off on a couple of reps but spotted it in the moment and attempted to correct.
All reps feeling pretty good.

No belt as suggested and focusing on ab engagement.

Interesting stuff…
Uploading first and last sets for comparison. May need to adjust the camera angle for next time.
Missed the RPE target here I think but didn’t feel too bad.
Set 1 was tough. Still getting used to the movements.
Went double overhand from set 2. Found that I can, (kinda, sorta, strongman style), clean the bar to the rack position so stuck with that.
Set 4 managed to catch the bar on my belt on rep 1.
Interesting start. I can see myself utilising the continental clean more as weight and fatigue increase.

Summary

Solid morning today.
Both squats and axle all good but lots to learn on the latter.

Lois back again making some good progress.
Squat, Press and chins today. Main focus being on press form.
